What is sleeplessness and is it serious

Sleeplessness is just another word that is used for occasional insomnia. Occasional insomnia is those sporadic nights when you have trouble falling asleep, or when you seem to toss and turn all night. This lack of good quality sleep can distress you by causing you to be drowsy during the day, have problems concentrating, or just not feeling alert. In fact, all you can probably think about is just getting home and taking a catnap.

Humans and other animals (also plants) have biological clocks called circadian rhythms. These circadian rhythms are managed by your internal clock. This clock affects alertness, body temperature, hormone release, appetite, and mostly affects the timing of sleep. There are a multitude of things that can affect this timing and cause a night of restless sleep. Among these things are too much caffeine, minor pains, smoking, too hot or cold
